Youth Work

The church works with young people from its members and from the neighbourhood throughout the year. Some of our groups are uniformed; those on this page are run directly by volunteers and staff from the church.

We value young people as part of the church and neighbourhood today, both here in Westbury-on-Trym and worldwide. They have much to give as well as receive; we will listen to them, we will nurture them in all areas of our community life.

Sunday Morning Family Church – Young People

What’s it about?
Our Sunday Worship services are broken in to two parts. Part 1 is all together worship and forms a complete service (e.g. we try to include all elements of a worship service). Part 2 is when we break in to groups. The adults stay in the church ‘sanctuary’ and the children and young people go in to groups elsewhere. Seniors meets to chat, play and think about the bible and how it interacts with our lives.

Young People’s Fellowship

What’s it about?
YPF meets together to engage in fun, creative, active, reflective and thought provoking activities and discussion about various issues of living as a Christian young person. YPF provides a more youth friendly context within which to be church. Once a month we head on down to The Mix for a youth celebration with attended by around 400 young people from across the region – we stop off at SubWay for a sandwich first. Normally YPF go away in October for a weekend and to Soul Survivor in the summer.
