 | Pray for those who have recently suffered a bereavement, especially those
in our fellowship, asking God to comfort and support them in the early days
of their loss ;

| Thank God for the work of the Crisis Centre and their recent purchase of
new premises. Pray that the funds needed to refurbish these will be
forthcoming;

| Pray for the Baptist Department of World Mission in Didcot, who
practically and pastorally support BMS mission workers and establish and
maintain linkes with overseas partners. Peter Dunn is the new director;
|
| Intercede for fail, vulnerable adults and children who are badly treated
in their own homes or behind the closed doors of an institution. Pray
for social workers, medical and nursing staff, teachers and others to have
the wisdom and courage to know how to help them;
|
| Pray about the growing influence of extreme right-wing racist groups in
Bristish politics. Ask God to restrain them and grant wisdom to the
government and others as they consider freeedom of speech legislation. |
