Safeguarding

We highly value children and young people in the church and community around us. Accordingly we have developed a robust policy and set of guidelines regarding how we will make sure that the work we do with children and young people is of the highest standard and provides for their safety and the well being of all our volunteers and staff. The information is based on guidance from the Baptist Union, which is itself based on the government’s publication Safe from Harm.

Please feel free to have a look at our Youth Policy, which outlines how we will work with children and young people and gives guidance for practice.

When we work with children or young people (without their parents present) we need them to complete a Consent and Medical Information Form. It gives us contact details and anything we need to know to keep children safe. If you would like to print and complete that in advance of your child starting a session, it is available for download below.
