Hiring rooms

Due to current circumstances surrounding the Coronavirus, the Church is limiting the capacity of rooms for the time being. We will update when possible.

The buildings are the home of Westbury-on-Trym Baptist Church on Reedley Road in Westbury-on-Trym. As well as being the place where the church can meet, worship, play and engage in all sorts of activities, there are a number of other organisations that make use of our rooms. Our buildings are used by community groups, health care teams, private groups and children’s parties.

If you are looking for a venue for your activities, the details of each room, below, should help you decide if our venue suits your purpose. Please also read the ‘Code Of Practice For Using The Church Premises’ before booking - Code of practice. The church has a ‘no alcohol on the premises’ policy. Please note that we don't hire out the Church Premises on Sundays.

Room Enquiry

Once you have contacted Annie Somerville (the Church Office Administrator), you will receive a booking form for completion. This must be returned to the office with payment before your booking can be confirmed. Also, if we have pencilled in a date for you and you change your mind, please inform us!

Tyndale Hall

Tyndale hall

A large hall with stage. Tyndale has a hatch pair of doors to the kitchen. The maximum permitted number attending an event in Tyndale is 200. There are additional notes for the use of Tyndale.

Hourly cost to hire Tyndale: £27.50

Carey hall

Carey hall

A medium sized hall with a pillar in the middle. Carey has a hatch to the kitchen and an external door with level access directly in from the car park. There is a pillar in the middle of the room which impedes whole room activities. The maximum permitted number attending an event in Carey is 70. There are additional notes for the use of Carey.

Hourly cost to hire Carey: £22.00



Wycliffe is a medium sized meeting room, seating approx 20. Carpeted with mixed uses. There is a counter with a sink and Tea & Coffee making facilities.

Hourly cost to hire Wycliffe: £16.50



We have a well equipped industry standard kitchen. There are additional notes for the use of the Kitchen.

Hourly cost to hire the Kitchen for drinks and light refreshments only: £10.00

Hourly cost to hire the Kitchen including use of the cookers: £12.00



This flexible space is the entrance point for the main body of the church. It has casual seating and a large servery.

Hourly cost to hire the Foyer (including use of the water boiler in the servery): £20.00
