Fairphone 3 - could you swap?

On the 27th August 2019, the Fairphone 3 launched which is said by it's manufactures to be their "newest response to the growing demand for a more ethical, reliable and sustainable phone".

This is the third generation phone made by the company which has aimed to create a modern smartphone whilst considering the impact of all aspects of the phone's use from initial manufacture (for example using fairly sourced and recycled materials along with better working condition for those who make the phone) to repair (with the phone being completely modular so that broken parts such as the screen can easily be replaced) to disposal.

The phone costs €450 which is noticeably more than a comparable specification phone produced by one of the more conventional manufactures (such as the Moto G7). However, we should all ask ourselves whether this is a price we should be willing to pay for a phone like this?
