‘Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances’

At Westbury-on-Trym Baptist Church prayer takes place in a variety of settings from Sunday services, to prayer groups and in meetings.

There are several opportunities for praying in groups within the community.  A regular Prayer Group meets every two weeks on a Monday evening,  intenteded as a time for quiet reflection.  Our Minister, James, and the Deacons lead a prayer meeting every other Wednesday. Finally each Sunday two people will be available to pray with anyone who would like to come.

Monday Prayer Group - NEW TIMING


A group meets to pray on Monday evenings, usually every two weeks. 

We are going to try an earlier meeting time of 6.30pm. We hope that, with the lighter evenings, this will make it easier for people to come. 


Please join us in the Prayer Room for about half an hour. We often begin with a psalm, then pray for the world, the church and anything on our hearts, always being thankful for God’s goodness to us. There is no need to say anything unless you want to; just being there is enough of a prayer in itself. The remaining dates for this term are:
