'Taking these streets for Christ? Power, patience, and the rise of the radical right' - Talk with Revd Helen Paynter

Helen Paynter has been conducting research into the overlap between the Church and the extreme right, and emerging from this research has ten concrete proposals to make to the British Church. Do come along to hear about the issue, the project, and the practical ways that we can respond.

It would be primarily for church leaders (including leadership teams) to help them negotiate the increasingly polarised world of radical left and radical right that is so toxic right now. We had hoped to do something before the UK election, but something before the US election will help too, as it’s not about persuading people to vote any particular way, but helping leaders to help those in their churches not be influenced by the fear factor (from either side!) and not to be radicalised.

Her research is I think very poignant right now in this challenging world.
